About A.C. Linh
A.C. is a French-Vietnamese-American writer and parent with a background in psychology. She is fluent in French and conversational in Vietnamese, and hopes one day to bring her stories to children in France and Vietnam as well.
She comes from a family shaped by survival. Her mother, aunt, grandmother, and brother escaped the Vietnam War. Her father, born during World War I and a soldier in World War II, was captured and managed to escape imprisonment.
Alongside this legacy, A.C. faced her own traumas and grew up with an early awareness that life brings hardship. Well-meaning advice like “Be nice,” “Don’t cry,” or “Just get along” often left her unsure how to navigate emotions such as anger, rejection, or shyness.
As an adult, the deaths of both parents and her brother, along with other painful experiences, forced her to face emotions she had long avoided. Through her personal history and work in the mental health field, she learned that resilience doesn’t come from avoiding discomfort but from meeting it with curiosity and compassion. Healing and growth, she discovered, require engaging the mind, body, and heart.
Her books grew from this belief. Through gentle, imaginative stories, A.C. hopes children will find practical tools to move through their emotions at their own pace, building confidence and inner strength one step at a time.
When she isn’t writing, A.C. enjoys spending time with her family, baking French pâtisseries, and running in nature.
